We can improve the health of our planet and our open source communities by listening. The Miyawaki method of afforestation is a quick way to create healthy woodlands in challenging environmental conditions. Shelley uses this method as an analogy in her keynote and invites us to approach projects and cultures with an open mind. She encourages us to be more self-aware and think about ways to improve projects and communities. Shelley is a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat.
